Collagraph with Letraset

The print was made by turning book covers into
collagraph plates. This gave me an opportunity to further explore the objectivity of a book and a book cover’s textures. Here a book cover becomes an image made up of marks, tones and textures that I found is seldom appreciated. Once the bookplate was printed more details were added with black and white Letraset, a dry transfer type.
The artwork is part of the Shaghaf Group Permanent collection.
