I have an ongoing series of small watercolour paintings called the Book Painting series. Over the years I have bound old test prints and paper lying in my studio together into small books. They become little studio history books. Since a lot of the pages were blank I began using them as a canvas to paint abstract watercolours. As I filled up the books with paintings I then undid the binding of the book so that the paintings would exist on their own. You can still see the marks on the paper from the binding.
